Motor development of children under one year
By the end of the first month the baby raises its head, trying to hold it back. In two months it already holds a toy nested in its hand. In three months, the baby learns to control the body, leaning on the handles, bent at an acute angle. At four months the child turns on the flank, resting on his hands at right angles, lying on its stomach.

In five months the baby turns from back to belly, resting on hands, lying on stomach. At the age of 6 months the baby turns from its stomach to its back. By nine months, there should be separate words. The kid turns to the adult to say something, often in its “own” language. By the year the child begins to develop emotional and intonational aspect of speech, vocabulary of year-olds ranges from 2-3 to 15-20 words, mostly onomatopoeic words or simplified.

The right choice of clothes for babies isn’t easy. Verify that the toes of pants, pajamas or crawlers are not folded as it means that they are too small. You must pay special attention to maintaining such clothing in good condition. If your infant has sensitive skin, hand wash its outfit using mild soap. Don’t overuse softeners as they can cause irritation.

Throughout the first several weeks, babies’ development is extremely fast. That’s why while buying new clothes for them, follow some simple rules: 1) buy clothes one size bigger; 2) don’t buy many clothes altogether. Thus, 2 items of onesies, rompers, body shirts, baby socks and baby booties as well as hooded towels will be enough, but you would rather buy at least 3 sets of pajamas.
